Explore our specialized services designed for adolescents, adults, individuals, couples and families. We are here to help you to better navigate the challenges you face. We aim to unlock your fullest potential in all aspects of your life.

We have an established 20 year history of combined experience in various contexts, including crisis intervention, acute and long-term hospital care as well as working with active military members, veterans and individuals embroiled in the legal system such as correctional settings. These experiences together make us adept at preventing problems before they get worse and intervening in timely ways to get to the root of mental health concerns. We treat a broad range of conditions and our arsenal of interventions reflect our skill level in addressing diverse and even complicated presenting issues and concerns.
Our most basic goal is to humanize your emotional reactions to the stressful life events you have been through in your life and to demonstrate that healing can and does occur when someone is there to care. We want to help you to effectively develop a healthy relationship with yourself and validate your needs because we not only believe, but know from our work that positive change can and will happen.

"As a therapist I want to help you to learn more about yourself and your ability to reach the highest potential that you deem fit for your life circumstances.
I am compassionate and validating in my approach and I strive to empower others to be as well." -Lisa

My Approach

Our approach to therapy is eclectic. I say this because, everything we have learned and experienced has influenced how we practice psychology today. We are influenced by the many psychology models or paradigms that view the relationship between an individual's thoughts, emotions and behaviors as a necessary organizational process by which we achieve safety and predictability. As mammals and all other living organisms, we learn through experience. Yet, self-validation can be difficult to attain. I have found, over many years of work in this field, that achieving self-validation is difficult for far too many. It is part of my mission to help you to organize and process your experiences in a manner that allows you to easily reach self-compassion and the validation you deserve.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
I hope together, we can learn how family relationships, culture and the larger macro-environment have impacted and shaped who you are and what you know about yourself, others, and the world today.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are honored in my practice. Knowing the impact of racism, sexism, ageism, and other forms of discrimination, is vital to the path of becoming a therapist. The work of therapy is a journey of self-discovery and my aim, is not to make assumptions about who you are, but to find out more about the impact of your experiences.

I work hard to be aware of my own learned biases and assumptions and not to minimize, avoid, or ignore how biases or assumptions have affected you. We will explore what matters most to you, what is right or wrong for you, and how to let others know what is important, and to receive the support and validation and care you have always deserved and needed.

It matters that you are seen wholly in a way that makes you feel comfortable and safe. My hope is that together we explore how your life story comes alive, and restore its vitality and meaning.
